Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide client estimates in construction, service, and piping projects. Secure/log estimates, purchase, and/or change orders for mechanical equipment, subcontractors, and materials, tracking bids. Estimate construction, service and piping jobs. Perform job take-offs using rolling scale and/or Bluebeam Software. Update project estimates at the request of project managers.
  • Obtain initial Ship dates for all equipment and materials from AHV or Subcontractors.
  • Create a scope of work for awarded contracts (after reviewing them with the Project Manager), keeping clients abreast of progress.
  • Partner with internal business units to facilitate day-to-day operations (e.g., Budgeting and Design, Engineering, the CAD department, etc.).
  • Facilitate job turnover meeting with Project Manager and other internal stakeholders of a successful project. Provide all end-of-project closeout documents (e.g., As-Builts, Operation and Maintenance Manuals, Testing and Balancing Reports, Warranty Letters, Startup Sheets, Commissioning Reports, etc.).
  • Assist Project Manager with completing and filing all necessary paperwork to reduce project delays. Manage projects ensuring gross profit expectations are met while providing superb customer service.
  • Liaise with Accounting to verify that the certificate of insurance has been processed prior to stepping onto project (AHV and Subcontractors). Work with Safety prior to encroaching on unsafe work conditions.
  • Provide a detailed billing schedule for work in progress or month’s end billings.
  • Provide leadership and guidance for the Project Management Coordinators and Interns.
  • Remain abreast of current industry trends and provide recommendations.
Qualifications, Competencies, & Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, construction management, engineering, finance or business from an accredited college or university a plus.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and piping.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Self-Motivated, with the ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Strong level of attention to detail.
  • Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate information and ideas both verbally and written so others understand your vision.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Work and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels, including executives.
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary: $70,000
  • Bonus and Profit Sharing up to 30% of base salary
